Playing catch up

So my posts are probably going to be a little short this week. Kayla's parents laptop is broken so I can't update the blog while she sleeps...

But let's get to Today's Food:
Breakfast- chobani greek yogurt with honey and Kashi cereal on top

simply sweet
Lunch: Big salad with mixed greens, broccoli slaw, tomatoes, mushrooms, diced chicken, gorgonzola cheese, and walnuts. I also had an orange and Chewy granola bar.

Veggie high

Good to the last bite!
Went grocery shopping this afternoon and got some goodies that I'm excited to eat up this week! Think guacomole, organic peanut butter, spinach, bananas, plums, strawberries, and much, much more!

Hopefully it will help to add some variety to my meals :)

I don't know how the weather was for you today but I woke up to this....yet again

icy snow
Thankfully, it stopped mid morning and was sunny the rest of the day!

Haven't heard from Seth since Saturday but I'm expecting hear from him very soon! I can't wait! Got his welcome home sign today!!! It's coming up quick!!

Just finished training 2 clients and now I'm watching the Bachelor: The Women Tell All. Drama, drama...

I'm a slacker

Hey Guys!

Happy Monday! Sorry for my slacking with the blog over the weekend! I promise to get a nice post up later tonight!

Hope your Monday is lovely!

Weekend update

It was a dreary day here in the North Country... 45 degrees, windy, and rain, rain, rain...

But work was calling my name so I made my way to the gym. Before that though I had this:

Choco-chip protein pancakes with strawberries
and did an hour and a half of the elliptical at the gym with Corie in preparation for our half marathon in (gasp!) 3 weeks! My stomach is still off and I'm still very tired and achy but we knew we had to get something in today. As always, glad I did :)

Then I rushed home and ate this before going into work:

Mmmmm...
It was a whole grain bagel with turkey and cheddar cheese with spinach. I toasted it until the cheese was nice and melted. Served on the side was nearly a whole red bell pepper.

Protein, whole grains, and veggies

I'll have to eat this lunch again soon. Very nice on this cold n' wet day!

Then I left for work but first snapped a picture for ya'll

bringing the workout skirt back
I got the bottom part of the outfit at Old Navy and the top is Underarmour. I like fitness/running skirts. They're comfy and easy to move around in. And..cute! At least I think so..

So 2 out of my 5 clients canceled on me which was a little annoying but fine. Like I said I'm tired.

Now I'm at home, resting tonight. I'm glad for no work tomorrow because I have a client nearly everyday this week! Yay for business! But no more clients for me. My schedule is full enough for me!

Happy 2nd Birthday to my little niece RUBY!

I'm dumb

Hey guys,

Sorry guys no pics today :( I was really hungry when breakfast and lunch came around and inhaled my food before I could snap a few pics.

Nonetheless, here is my Food Today:
Breakfast: 1/2 multi-grain bagel with p.b. and banana slices
Lunch: Other half of bagel with p.b. and banana slices, roasted veggies which included broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots. then 3 small peanut butter brittle bite thingys...and 1/4 of a container of Ben and Jerry's peanut butter brittle ice cream... Ughhhhh then I went and ran 5 miles while pushing Kayla and almost died. Seriously, what was I thinking?? My stomach hurt so bad it was a nasty scene once finally made it back home. I was physically shaking and I thought I might pass out. In fact, my tummy still hurts. I am officially an IDIOT. So, learn from me and never eat ice-cream right before you run. Derrrr....

I also became extremely tired after my run and I'm still feelin it. It's only 8:30 and feel like I could fall asleep in a second. So I probably will head to bed soon. I need my rest because I'm meeting with  5 clients tomorrow. Right after each other. Hopefully I time everything right and stay on schedule.

Hope you all have fun plans for tonight and this weekend! I'm so lame but I think I'm gonna head to bed now.
Goodnight world ;)

Kettlebell kicks butt

Hi friends!!

Sorry about my short post yesterday. I meant to post again last night but I had Bible study then Seth and I were busy catching up =)

Let me do a real quick re-cap of food yesterday:

Breakfast: Heart to heart Kashi cereal with skim milk and a slice of whole grain bread with pb

Lunch: Mmmm...lunch was tasty! It consisted of oven roasted chicken sausage, onion, a whole bell pepper, broccoli, and cauliflower.

colorful lunch
I know I threw some other things down my throat but can't remember just what!

Anyways, on to today. I told you a few posts ago that I've been training a client with kettlebells and I've really been enjoying it! So, I went and bought my own today and just finished a 40 minute workout while Kayla's been sleeping.

yes...I'm a nerd thank you very much
It was a great workout! I can feel it in my shoulders, legs, and abs. Mission accomplished! Plus I got up a nice sweat (but when do I not sweat?) and my heart rate was up with mountain climbers and squat thrusts intervals. Ohhhh yeah!

Yesterday I got 3 more clients for Saturday which brings me to 7 total clients and 5 in a row on Saturday! I think I'm going to have to cut myself from new clients for a while. Plus, Seth's coming home soon! And I need to be with him at night and weekends :)

So on to Today's food:
Breakfast: my pb oatmeal with a sprinkling of suga!

Lunch: I just ate it actually. It consisted of: A whole wheat wrap with onion, mushrooms, broccoli slaw, and spinach with a few smears of roasted garlic hummus. Also, had non fat greek yogurt with honey and a handful of cheerios on top. I just love the taste and texture of greek yogurt! Try it today! Lastly, had a babybel (not pictured) cheese circle thingy.

protein, fiber, and veggies
Now I'm full and excited to work out later with a quick run and spin class. Yay! Then Corie and I are going to hang out and watch THE OFFICE! Love Thursdays!!

Enjoy your day!

I have been smiling, crying, and overwhelmed with happiness.

"God, please keep him safe until he is in my arms. Grant us strength and perseverance in this last month and a half. Give us patience, calm hearts, and peace of mind... and bring him home quickly!!!"

MARCH!!

It finally got here! I can officially say that SETH will be home next month!! God-willing that is...

I have some exciting things planned for March too:

- Hanging with my sister Olivia in mid March when she comes to visit. Oh, and becoming a dog owner!! (she joined the Air Force and Seth and I are going to take her golden retriever pup off of her hands :))
- Working out with new clients
-The first day of Spring!!
-Getting the house cleaned up, making sure the cars are in good order, etc...
- Running the Ceasaer Rodney Half in DE the last weekend of the month with CORIE!!

and many, many other fun things too I'm sure. Let's hope March is a quick and smile-filled month!
Oh, I ordered the welcome home banner for Seth over the weekend! Yay it should be here by the end of the month!! Also, after talking to Seth, we decided to sponsor a child through World Vision. We are now officially supporting a young 2 year old from Haiti named Fadson. He looks like such a sweetie! Excited to learn more about him in the coming weeks!

So let's get to TODAY'S FOOD:
Breakfast: my egg white, spinach, and cheddar cheese bagel paired with a cup of black coffee

Lunch: Banana and peanut butter bagel, and a big ol' salad with mixed greens, spinach, broccoli slaw, tomato, mushroom, gorgonzala cheese, and walnuts. Topped it off with some avacodo ranch dressing
I found at Kayla's house. Whoops! Not the best choice but it was a nice change from my balsamic vin.

veggies, protein, and fruit
I also munched on these after lunch:

Chocolate is girl's best friend
In a little, Kayla and I are going to go meet up with Corie for a walk!! She's finally back from Puerto Rico! Yay!!

Have a great March 1st!!
